Course icons

The course icon is very visible on many Moodle sites, here are a few possible variations depending on you Topic.

The course icon is this little image appearing for instance in a course block (here on the moodle.com site) :

The following image gives you an overview of my suggestions for a new icon based on the Nuvola set (LGPL licence). You can choose one of them according to your content.

Click on this icon to download the full set of icons in a Zip file (14 ko)

Install

Change the course icon in a few steps :

Uncompress the ZIP file
Choose one icon and rename it "course.gif"
Copy this icon in the "c" and "i" directories located in the following folder YouMoodleSite/themes/YourTheme/pix

Actually I didn't "create" these icons. I just adapted them to a Moodle set.

This is great, but one question :-)...
I installed the Nuvola icons okay, although I had to change them for each individual theme as changing the standard theme pix folder didn't work.
But changing the course icon as described didn't make a difference to my courses... emptied cache etc...
Maybe I am going batty!?

Okay - I got it but I am confused now - I'd like different icons for courses in different categories.... I guess this isn't possible??

For different icons dependaing on the category, I would say it's not possible with the actual development. It all depends on classes an IDs from the page source.
