Nuvola Iconset 1.5

On this page you will find the version of the Moodle-Nuvola iconset for version 1.5. The set was originally created by David Vignoni under an LGPL license.

This new iconset can give a modern look to you Moodle site. Here is an comparison of the original set (bottom) and the nuvola one (top) :

Click on this icon to download the Zip file (113 ko)

Install

Follow these steps to adopt the new iconset :

Uncompress the zip file
Copy the pix folder in your theme folder
Open the config.php file in your theme folder and change the following parameter :
$THEME->custompix = true;

Variations

I have made the set rather bright but I can easily customize it with a batch processing. The following image shows the set based on a differrent palette. You can post a comment or mail me a .act file if you want a customization. To create a custom palette, you can for instance use the software Color Schemer.

Hi There - thanks for a great site - Moodle needs a zen garden. I like how you've used the Nuvola icons. I like best the second colour scheme - the one you have as an example with less bright colours. Any possibiliy you could make this available for download or send it to me?

You can just email me your color palette and I can batch process the set and publish it her for other Moodler.

I posted this in moodle but thought maybe I stood a better chance of receiving a reply if I posted here instead

Your icons look great but I'm experiencing a problem with them...

I did downloaded from www.moodlezengarden.com/i...

followed your instructions... I'm using template formal_white... the pix folder for this theme contained two folders grad and tab which I left.

1. Uncompress the zip file>/li>
2. Copy the pix folder in your theme folder
3. Open the config.php file in your theme folder and change the following parameter :
$THEME->custompix = true;

As soon as I change the config.php in the formal_white theme folder to true.. I receive the following error messages (below) on the site and loose my formatting but the new icons display and when I change it back to false the error messages disappear and now formats correctly but with old icons.

Thanks alot for these icons and the information - I am using them and they are great! I hope you continue to update this site, as you seem to have lots of talent in this area, and the Moodle community needs good information from knowledgeable people.
